What Does The “Green Bar” Look Like In Internet Explorer

The green address bar in Internet Explorer 7+ and field displaying the companies name and GeoTrust® as the Certificate Authority is a difficult interface feature for a malicious site to imitate.

Automatically Secures WWW & Your Root Domain

All True BusinessID® + EV SSL Certificates include the fully qualified domain name listed in the Common Name (CN) field in the Subject Alternative Name (SAN) fields as well as the root domain. The root domain will be included when the CN is for www.domain.com or*.domain.com and the fully qualified domain name consists of three levels.

For example, if we receive an order for www.domain.com, both www.domain.com anddomain.com will be included as values in the SAN fields.

How Fast Is True BusinessID® + EV Issued

True BusinessID® + EV SSL Certificates require the most thorough authentication process performed in order to be sure that any company certified is a legitimate operation. This aspect of the EV standard combine to create a strong defense against phishing scams.

Typically it is expected that True BusinessID® + EV is delivered within 48 hours of receiving all of the required identity documentation. Generally we advise customers to allow 21 days to gather the required identity documentation.

What Documents Are Required

To qualify for True BusinessID® + EV the company requesting the Certificate must be registered as a corporation or equivalent with the appropriate government agency in its country of jurisdiction.
